Congratulations Nicki Minaj: Nicki Sets A New Female Rap Record

Yay Nicki, Apparently Nicki Minaj's single "Super Bass", from the Pink Friday album has sold it's 4millionth digital. This is the first time a female rapper has ever had any single to reach the 4millionth plateau. I was definitely a fan of the Pink Friday album, I can't wait to see what else is in store for Nicki, as we eagerly await Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

“Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” also tops the 4 million mark in digital sales this week. It’s the first song by a female rapper to reach that plateau. No other songs by female rappers (as the lead artist) have hit even 2 million. Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life” (featuring Drake) is second, with sales of 1,594,000. Missy Elliott’s “Lose Control” is third, with sales of 1,359,000.
