Earlier I reported that Basketball Wives Evelyn's Assistant Nia slapped Ev's ex-bestie during the taping of the last episode. I also reported that Jennifer filed criminal charges against Nia. TMZ reports,
"Basketball Wives" star Nia Crooks has been charged with misdemeanor battery for pimp slappin' the taste out of Jennifer Williams' mouth back in January ... TMZ has learned.
A rep for the Broward County State's Attorney's Office tells us ... officials decided to file the charge on April 10 ... after Williams filed a criminal complaint.
If convicted, Nia faces up to a year in the slammer.
During the incident, which aired on last week's episode of "Basketball Wives" -- Nia can be heard threatening to slap Jennifer ... to which Jennifer replied, "I wish you would." Her wish was granted."

The BasketBall Wives are at it again. Today, the newly named, Jennifer Lawrence, who has by the way, recently divorced ex- NBA Baller, Eric Williams, announced that she will be filing a law suit against Nia. Nia, who is Evelyn Lozada's secretary, and an ex-friend, as mentioned, slapped Jennifer on the last episode.
Since then, the BasketBall Wives have boycotted the reunion, stating the obvious. They don't want to risk being sued or even being in the presence of Jennifer. The cast refuses to meet for a reunion show if Jennifer is making an appearance. Apparently, as Tami stated Previously during the show, she felt violated as she and the entire cast were served prior to the taping of the last show aired with legal documents stating that Jenn would seek legal actions if she was violated.
Some of the cast mates are claiming that Jen just needs something to do to remain relevant to the show, they insist that she's securing her spot for next season.
It seems to me that Jennifer will always have a relevance to the show seeing that she has always been apart of drama from one end to the next. However , this new Nia character is clearly looking for some air time, and she just may get it . Lawsuit judgement and all
