Nicki Minaj recently conducted an interview with ABC Nightline.  This interview just like so many others aired Nicki Minaj speaking out about her family life and her abusive father. Nicki Minaj admitted that her father was very abusive to her and the family, especially her mother. Nicki Minaj who's legal name is Onika speaks volumes about the pain and resentment that she has openly voiced for some time now in regards to her abusive father Omar.

Apparently Nicki Minaj's father is refuted her story: TMZ reported

Nicki Minaj's father is completely torn up over the rapper's recent comments -- that she wanted to "kill" him when she was a child -- and now, he wants the world to know he's not some violent monster.
In case you missed her recent "Nightline" interview, Nicki went OFF on her dad Omar -- describing the guy as a drug addict and alcoholic who often threatened to kill her mother ... once even burning down their house.Nicki said, "I wanted to kill [my dad]. I used to wish he was dead ... 'We were afraid for my mother's life because whenever he would have a real bad outburst he would threaten to kill her."
But family sources tell TMZ, Nicki's anecdotes are grossly exaggerated -- Omar admits he had anger issues when she was a child ... but insists it NEVER reached the point Nicki described in her interview.
Sources tell us, Omar never knew Nicki felt this way about him -- and he's absolutely crushed she decided to air her grievances in the med."
First, Off Nicki Minaj's father is too late because, Nicki Minaj has spoke of a horrific abusive father since day one. I can even recall an interview with Wendy Williams that air over a year ago where Nicki shared this same horrific tale of an abusive childhood at the hands of her father. I think her father needs to stop playing the victim, man up and admit that he was an abusive, a womanizer and all of those things Nicki Minaj has spoken out about. I myself am glad that she allowed the world to know that at some point in life everyone has to overcome something. I just think that it is disgusting and despicable that her father is not owning up to the things that he did. Big ups to Nicki for sharing your story, thanks for sharing with the world where your drive, pain, and anger derives; who knows, your just providing a sense  and voice of triumph to that little girl or child that is going through now  the things that you couragiously overcame.
